We shoved off from the Sea Gull pier at 7am and sailed out of the Neuse and up into the New River. At 3pm we arrived at the Hobucken Coast Guard station which is located on the canal that joins the Pungo River to the New River. The Guards were kind enough to give of a tour of the station and their boats. The crew fished, threw the frisbee, and had an epic game of tug-of-war. We will stay here for the night and make our way up to Belhaven tomorrow morning.
