Today we took the boat and anchored next to Jockey's Ridge, a famous set of sand dunes. The boys swam in to shore and hiked over the dunes and into the ocean. After our afternoon swim we grilled burgers and brats by the beach. We jumped and raced down the dunes again before we weighed anchor and headed back to the Manteo town dock. Tomorrow we will depart on our longest journey so far. We will sail all day and night, arriving in Oriental sometime Thursday morning.
