Sea Gull to Hog Island
We left camp today at 1pm and made our way out of the Neuse River and turned North towards our planned anchorage near Hog Island. The crew was split into two watches. Each watch runs the boat for 4 hours at a time. During a watch one camper is in charge while the others rotate between the helm, bow watch, and navigation. We were able to put our sails up for a bit today and crew got good practice with those procedures. A great spaghetti dinner was enjoyed by all after we dropped anchor. We will depart Hog Island early tomorrow and sail to Manteo.
