Welcome to the our blog which will follow the Jeanie B as she sails around the coast of North Carolina.  Our first trip got underway on Sunday as our new crew arrived.  After swim testing, the girls got to try out Camp Seafarer's giant swing.  We got our first lesson in boat handling as we pulled up the anchor and sailed across the river to our anchorage for Sunday night.  The crew made a delicious spaghetti dinner and we ate as the sun set. The girls took turns doing "anchor watch," where two campers at a time are assigned to make sure the anchor does not drag throughout the night.
